Interpolative Computation of Two Slot Dimensions in a Rectangular Microstrip Antenna Given the Mode Number and the Resonant Frequency
In this work, we present an enhanced version of our algorithm that can evaluate dimensions of a slot being placed within a patch surface of a rectangular microstrip antenna. While in the earlier work we were able to compute only one slot dimension, in this paper we present the computation of two slot dimensions, given the desired resonant frequency and the mode of operation. The paper discusses how the slot length and the distance from the patch edge are computed, and the results are veri ed by a full- wave electromagnetic solver for each of the presented test cases.
