Picturebooks with Young Learners in Croatian School
The thesis presents the results of an investigation of teachers´ opinions and experiences regarding the usage of picturebooks with young learners in Croatian schools in different locations. The sample consisted of eight English language teachers from both urban and rural primary schools. The participants were interviewed, and their opinions were analyzed, grouped, categorized, compared and interpreted. The research results reveal differences in using picturebooks with respect to teaching English in schools located in different areas. The teachers agree on general issues but the two groups of participants (from urban and from rural areas) have different opinions on individual teaching methods and preferences regarding the use of picturebooks in EFL teaching to young learners.
