New Publicness

What is it that constitutes the new publicness today? What are its key defining features? What are its manifestations, appearances, practices? What does it mean to be an active agent of the Public today, to address public issues, to participate and act in public? And, accordingly, what is it that today defines the spatial framework for these public affairs? What are the categories, dimensions, and contours of contemporary public space? In which reality does it evolve? And to what extent is it constrained to essentially change in order to accommodate the radically changed subjects and conditions? Is there still a chance for it at all or has it already become something else, transposed to some parallel universe? The work addresses these essential questions.
