Sažetak
In order to determine the rate controlling mechanism in multi-regenerated fixed bed of natural zeolite, two different approaches have been applied. The first approach includes qualitative determination of the rate controlling step based on the evaluation of the c/co value at the stoichiometric point. The second approach includes quantitative determination of the controlling mechanism by calculation of the overall mass transfer coefficient Ka, for different experimental conditions. The reusability of the fixed zeolite bed has been evaluated by repeating the sorption/elution processes in nine successive cycles using the column method.
