C-peptide preservation in Type 1 diabetic pregnant women.
The aim of the study was to demonstrate the effect of omega-3 fatty acids on secretion of C-peptide in pregnant women with type one diabetes (T1DM). Conclusion: during pregnancy, C-peptide concentrations increased in both groups. C-peptide concentration in the investigated group of pregnant women was statistically significantly greater compared with those in the CTRL group. The values of C-peptid in umbilical vein serum were statistically higher in the CTRL group than in investigated group.
