Analysis of vibration of vertical lathe machining centre
This paper shows the results of diagnostics of vibrations on CNC vertical lathe center, on which doubted the increased level of vibrations due to which the machine was not able to perform the required processing quality. During previous repair on the machine bearing of work table was damage in a way that during assembly of the bearing come to the wrong setting, half of conical rollers (22 of 44) on that occasion was significantly damaged (plastically deformed). Because all of this, vibration analysis was done to determine whether the frequency spectrum can be seen some of the characteristic frequency of the bearing, which would indicate bearing damage or characteristic defects. The results of the analysis of vibrational spectra showed that it is a more complex vibration problem than it might be initially assumed. The maximal vibration magnitudes appeared on the certain frequencies which couldn`t be simply interpreted on the bases of either mechanical or electrical cause separately, but only by introducing the interactions between mechanical and electrical components of machining center.
