Mild cognitive impairment a transitional state between normal cognitive function and dementia.
Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is a condition in which a oerson has minor problems with cognition. In MCI these difficulties are worse than would normally be expected but do not interfere significantly with daily life, and are not defined as dementia.It is estimated that between 5 and 20 per cent of people aged over 65 have MCI and have a possibility to develop dementia.
