Triassic rift-type basalts and related deep-water sediments in the ophiolite belt of the Dinarides-Hellenides- Taurides-Zagros

Triassic rift-basalt magmatism is followed by Halstatt type deep-water facies, recognized by peperitic texture formed in the sediments soaked with water. The phenomena is followed along the Neotethyan orogenic belt from Dinarides, Hellenides, Taurides, to Zagros. It points to similar circumstances during advanced rifting and almost synchronous temporal activity in the early history of Neothetys.
