Hydrocarbon Distribution as the Result of Tectonic Events in the Croatian Part of the Pannonian Basin

The suothern part of the Pannonoan basin is the main oil bearing area in Croatia. About 7o mil tons of oil and cca 3o billion of cubic meters of gas werw produced in this part of the basin. This certainlz is the most explored area, bat is very likely that potential new hydrocarbon discoveres may still be found there. A complex strudy is being prepared for this purpose, of witcs the reconstruction of tectonic events is only a part. Tectonic movements are equally for the formation of structures and structural closures (traps) as for the hydrocarbon migration in general.
