Sažetak
In the last thirty years in the world, more use of thermal energy for drying agricultural crops using their biomass is encouraged. Production of maize seed is production which leaves a whole series of remains primarily cobs, cobs leaves and maize straw. For that matter the cobs, because of maize seed drying technology, dried on average about 10-12% moisture, while cob leaves and maize straw humidity depend on the year. Due to this, the aim of this study is to determine the energy performance of maize biomass on two maize hybrids. The resulting energy values of maize biomass were compared with the energy value of oil and with the possibility of replacement for the drying of maize seed.
