THE INFLUENCE OF GRAIN COMPOSITION ON DRY DENSITY MIXTURE STABILIZATION WITH CEMENT
The paper presents influence of stone grain material of variable granulometric composition on the spatial mass of samples of the cement stabilized mixture to produce the bearing layer of the pavement structure. Stone grain material is a natural river pebble of granulometric size 0/31, 5 mm, originating from the Bosna river, the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the preparation of laboratory samples of cement mixtures used were, besides the natural river pebble, SPECIAL Portland cement CEM II/A-M (S-V) 42, 5 N and water from the municipal water supply. Samples of nine cement stabilized mixtures of different granulometric composition were tested. For produced mixtures, optimum moisture and maximum dry density with the addition of hydraulic binder were determined according to the General technical conditions for road works
dry density mixture; grain composition; stabilization with cement.
