Estimation of Induction Motor Parameters using Evolutionary Strategies
Mathematical modelling of induction motor in steady- state is usually done by the equivalent circuits. It is relatively simple to calculate different motor values in steady-state (efficiency, stator current, torque-speed curve, torque-slip curve, current-slip curve …) if data of the equivalent circuits are known. Usually, the problem is inverse in nature, some data of induction motor are known from nameplate or measuring but the equivalent circuit data are unknown. Most widely used methods are different evolution algorithms and other population based optimization methods . The aim of this paper is investigation of applying the evolutionary strategies for parameter estimation of the induction motor.
