Preliminary design and mathematical model of impulse water cannon for helicopter firefighting application

The subject of this research work is modeling of the geometry and matheatical model of operational behaviour of the impulse water cannon for aerial helicopter firefighting purposes. Such water cannon can be installed on or in the helicopter as a platform in various configurations, which has effects on generation of the different dynamic operating forces and moments that influence the stability of the helicopter and can lead to compromising safety. Interior ballistics model will analyze interactions of forces on water projectile inside of the cannon tube. Main force which acts on water projectile has nonlinear development in time along water cannon tube and needs to be obtained by numerical approach.
