The implementation of FIFA Regulations in Croatia
The new CFF Regulations on working with intermediaries mostly copies the FIFA Regulations on Working with Intermediaries. A major difference is only in allowing the intermediaries, who have been engaged to act on a player’/club’s behalf in order to conclude a contract of employment or transfer agreement, a fee which should not exceed 10%, more than the FIFA suggested 3%. Further, a new body, the CFF Committee for Working with Intermediaries was founded and there is no competence of the CFF Court of Arbitration any more. Some other specificities are: the municipal court certificate declaring that against the intermediary has not been initiated any criminal proceeding, proving his impeccable reputation and the maximum duration of the representation contract which is set for two years.
