ERP APPLICATION FOR REDUCTION OF SCRAP WHILE CASTING ALUMINUM ALLOY
In this paper the role of ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning) computer programme in the production of pressure cast parts for the automotive industry is analyzed. The monitoring of engine holder casting has been done by phases in order to record and select the scrap by the place of appearance. With that analysis it is determined that most of the scrap is made in the phase of final machining of castings during the cutting of threads in steel sleeves casted in the holder. On Al engine holder are performed tests of properties and also on steel bolts after simulated heat treatment. Based on the analsys of laboratory test results, conclusion was that the causes of waste is in too high temperature of the aluminium melt. Suggestion was a control system which accounts laboratory testing. Quality system is defined by a process for internal judgment and management process with nonconforming product.
