Social Entrepreneurship: Creating Organizational Identity through Economy of Communion and Culture of Giving

In the strive for excellence, the organizations in modern business environment often have to reconcile conflicting goals and aspirations in order to reach not only market and economic but social goals as well. As a result, social entrepreneurship and social enterprises have emerged as the new business phenomena. Their business operations include a strong social awareness because they try to instil a social component of responsibility and solidarity. in their business activities. They possess a special organizational identity accepted and balanced from the inside of the organization that is also effectively and successfully guided towards the external organizational environment so as to achieve economic goals with social balance in mind. Building organizational capabilities towards development, learning, quality of work and creating a strong culture – a culture of giving, is an example of a good business practice used by companies that are governed by the principles of economy of communion. The specifics of this original business activity is that it has the general principles of social business, strengthened by the culture of giving, solidarity and learning which all contribute to creating a new man and a better world in a specific daily routine of every workplace. This paper will address some key aspects of social entrepreneurship as well as the economy of communion. The paper will cover main theoretical aspects and processes in the creation of organizational identity - based on the principles of economy of communion and the culture of giving.
