REGIONAL UNEMPLOYMENT IN CROATIA: EVIDENCE FROM DYNAMIC PANEL MODEL
The paper analyses the impact of regional economic activity, regional wages and education on regional unemployment rate in Croatian counties for the period from 2004 to 2012. The results of the empirical analysis point to the conclusion that the regional labor market adjustment mechanisms in Croatia are not functioning. It is especially important to note the lack of wage flexibility that makes it difficult for the labor market to adapt to changes in the macroeconomic surrounding.
