Design and Control of Robotic Arm for Educational Mobile Robot
This paper describes in detail the construction, implementation and navigating of the low-cost robotic arm with five degrees of freedom movement for the purpose of the educational mobile robot eMiR [1]. In accordance with the working conditions applied on the mobile robot, all the elements of the robotic arm were constructed using CAD program tool [2], and they were made using a low-cost 3D printer (FDM procedure) [3]. Raspberry Pi is used as the control unit of the robotic arm [4], and as driving elements DC servo motors were used [5]. The navigation program and the kinematic robot model were made in an open- source environment [6] and are also described in the paper. The performance of the overall system was tested on two basic movement
