Using of State Observer for Reconstruction of Induction Machine Rotor Flux
For robust drives with high control quality demands, vector controlled induction machines are used. Since the accurate rotor flux reconstruction is very important, the flux current and the torque current should be precisely reconstructed. This paper shows a method for rotor flux reconstruction using the reduced order state observer. The approach applied here enables two-component vector as well as complex number representation of the state variables. Comparison of the state observer with classic rotor flux reconstruction models proves the advantages of the observer. Special attention is given the method of discretization of such an observer. It is shown that much better numerical properties can be achieved using delta discretization method instead of usually used shift discretization. Simulations in the paper model in fact the real algorithms using integer arithmetics.
