Promjene elektrokardiograma u mlađih osoba iz opće populacije
S U M M A R Y During 1976 a randomized population sample including 626 males and 636 females from s:ix regions of Croatia was examined. The examined persons were at the age from 22 to 41 years. Changes in the electro- cardiogram ware analyzed according to the Minnesota code. The electrocardiograms were compared to the findings of 2049 men and 2161 women aged 35 to 54 years. The Q-wave occurring after myocardial infarction was not found in any of the younger subjects. The depression of the S-T segment up to 0.5 mm was found in 3.3%, from 0.5 to 0.9 mm in 0.8%, and of 1 mm or over in 0.3% of the younger examined subjects. A pathological left and right axis deviation, a high R wave left type, the depression of the S-T segment up to 0.5 mm, the inversion of the T-wave from 0 to 5 mm, and a short P-Q interval were less common in the younger examined persons than in the older ones. The findings of the depression of the S-T segment exceeding 0.5 mm, the inversion of the T- wave over 5 mm, the atrio- ventricular blocks of ali degrees, complete left and right bundle branch blocks, an incomplete right bundle branch block, an atrio-ventricular nodal rhythm, sinus bradycardia, the microvoltage of the QRS complex and a high P-wave did not significantly differ in the younger and older examined persons. ECG changes, such as sinus tachycardia, the elevation of the S- T segment and a high T-wave, as well as the finding of the Ri wave smaller than the R wave in V, /V2 were more frequently found in the younger than in the older examined subjects. The depression of the S-T segment was more frequently present in younger women than in younger men, while such findings as the blocks of the branches of the His bundle, a high T-wave, and the elevation of the S-T segment were more frequent in men. The ECG findings according to sex and age groups are presented in three tables.
