Postoperative ladies underwear with a microbial barrier
Analysis was made and comparison given of three TENCEL plain jersey knitted fabrics intended for postoperative ladies underwear. The samples to be tested were exposed to steam sterilisation at 134°C, after which they were tested on the microbial barrier permeability developed using the new method. Aerobic bacterial endospores of Geobacillus Stearothermophilus (105) and Bacillus Atrophaeus (106) were used. Based on the samples tested and their characteristics, ladies underwear construction was developed with the aim of reducing irritation for the part of the body that underwent surgery. The data on the forms and measures were obtained employing a 3D body scanner.
