Digital Control System fir the Traction Applications

In this article the digital control system for control, regulation, measuring, sequencing, protection, supervision and communication tasks in the retrofitted (modernized)locomotives is presented. The modular system hardware components are briefly described along with implementation examples. Furthermore, we present some topics related to communication with other vehicles by means of UIC556 gateway, speed measurement and to man-machine interface.
