Sažetak
Laboratory investigations of high strength fine grained steel welding simulation with simulator of thermal cycle type Smitweld CTS 1405 are explained in this work. After the simulation of welding thermal cycle in the heat affected zone on peak thermal cycle temperatures of 600, 700, 780, 1100 and 1350 oC, analysis of micro-structure and hardness and impact toughness measurements are provided. This approach to accelerated investigations of weldability gives very useful information which can be used in order to find optimal welding parameters faster and cheaper. Beside mentioned advantages, this researches also give possibility to accomplish exact cooling speed (exact welding thermal cycle), on which appropriate mechanical and other properties are related. This investigations are preferable and recommended as preliminary investigations of weldability, after which usually follows verifications of real welding with certain welding process (e.g. welding procedures specification). Disadvantage of those investigations is that they are laboratory researches and demand appropriate, often very expensive equipment for welding cycle simulation.
