Philosophical origins of the condictiones sine causa in the context of Seneca's De Beneficiis
Condictio as a remedy associated with the unjustified enrichment is closely connected to the Stoic prohibition of enrichment at the expense of someone else. Most important in that respect are the ethics stemming from the middle Stoics. Beside other sources, traces of those moral teachings can be found in Seneca's De beneficiis.
