Optimal Processing for Measurements of Optoelectronic Pulse Signal Parameters
Optimal processing for measurements of optoelectronic pulse amplitude and tim-delay (arrival time) are considered. Given analysis was based on the following assumptions: optoelectronic signals are stochastic in nature, stochastic processes which determine signal parameters in amplitude and time domain are stationary and ergodic, noise at the input is white, signal processing is linear. Optimization was based on the minimum square error criterium. Theoretically obtained optimum filters for amplitude and time delay (pulse timing) measurements, are not physicaly realizable, but there is a class of relative simple linear filters which are very close to optimum.
