Product theorems and examples in pseudo-compactness

We will study direct systems of closed inclusions and determine properties of such systems that will detect the pseudo-compactness of the direct limit. We will consider when the condition is productive for pseudo-compactness and will provide several natural examples in which this phenomenon occurs.
