Digital technologies as tools in contemporary teaching practices – economic benefits
Terms such as “digital technologies, contemporary teaching methods and practices”, “learning society”, “knowledge society” have recently become familiar terminology in the area of educational sciences. In any case, the development concepts that involve implementation of digital technology in the educational process as the paradigm of the new culture of learning reflect only the terminological entries, and the essence is perceived as a need for concrete and continuous changes towards the modern educational system. Naturally, this paper deals with the general aspects of the contemporary teaching practices, and shall in major part provide some answers and models for the new teaching practices, initiated and incorporated in the integrated development curriculum. The arguments are substantiated through the research implemented in 2005, compared with the research conducted in 2010 with employees, pupils and university students in the educational system.
