The development, implementation and comparison of models of industrial robot using Modelica modeling language

This paper should give overview of the software system Modelica in practice of modeling SCARA type robot. Comparison of the modeled robot will be pres ented with a commercially available robotic system. The main objective of this study was to determine the pos sibility of using the Modelica system that is based on Open Source technology in the development of robotic systems. Aim of this paper is to provide a review of the use of Modelica in virtual laboratory for the purpose of enabling sustainable economic practicum for students.
