Competitivity of Croatian milling industries: domestic resource cost approach

The aim of this study was to evaluate, is it existing competitiveness of the milling industry in Croatia, ready for the market environment in the EU. The research methodology is based on the application of a group of indicators trade openness and discovered competitive advantages, as well the overall analysis of the structure of the milling industry in Croatia. Analysis of competitive of Croatian milling industries using DRC method, taking into account opportunity cost of not only input factors, but also the foregin exchange rate and the price of final product in the EU market, which refers to the ratio between opportunity cost of domestic production and value added. The conducted research has shown some specific of the perception of the competitivity of Croatian milling industries.
