Principles concerning maximum sustainable yield in freshwater and marine ecosystems

Principles of applying maximum sustainable yield to freshwater and marine fisheries are given. In case only selective fishery on top predators is practiced there is no danger of species extinction. In all other cases it is likely that the fishery will end with species extinction.
