The 16th International Conference on Thin Films is over. Mid‐October, Dubrovnik, bright sunny days, a lot of good people ‐ the ICTF16 has occurred under these circumstances. The 16th International Conference on Thin Films was held in Dubrovnik, 13‐16 October 2014. It was jointly organized by three national vacuum societies ‐ Croatian, Hungarian, and Slovenian ‐ under the general sponsorship of the International Union for Vacuum Science, Technique and Applications (IUVSTA).
