Transient Analysis of Biological Tissue Modelled by Cole-Cole Dispersions Based on Numerical Inversion of Laplace Transform
In this paper we present the calculation of current transients as a response to the applied voltage for a biological tissue whose complex permittivity was modelled by four Cole-Cole type dispersions. Initial formulation in the Laplace domain was transformed to the time domain by numerical inversion of Laplace transform using Stehfest algorithm. We analysed the influence of the voltage generator rise time and internal resistance on the current transient. Moreover, we analysed contributions of each individual dispersion on the current waveform. Due to its simplicity and good performance, Stehfest algorithm proved to be a very good choice for current transient calculation for multi Cole-Cole type dispersion materials like biological tissues.
