Numerical modelling of residual stress distribution in a specimen of complex form

Applicability of nonlinear finite volume method in prediction od residual stresses the quenchimg process has been investigated. The algorithm and computer program are completed to solve problems such as the quenching of complex cylinders,cones, spheres, etc. A distribution of all relevant values could be given at any moment of quenching by the computer program. The established algorithm has been applied in simulation of residual stresses of concrete steel workpiece.
