ANALYSIS OF TRIACYLGLYCEROLS IN SOYBEAN
A research on the triacylglycerol composition of the soybean lipid extract was performed. Soybean Glycine max (M) Merril cultivars created at the Agricultural Institute Osijek from different locations and two harvests were analysed. The lipid extraction was carried out by Soxhlet method with diethyl ether containing 100 mg of butylated hidrexytoluene, and solvent was removed by rotary evaporation. Triacylglycerols were analyzed in a liquid chromatograph equipped with two serial connected Pecosphere C18 columns and detected on refractive index detector. The analysis was carried out isocraticaly with a mobile phase acetone/acetonitrile (70:30). Triacylglycerols from extract were identifided by comparing their retention times to standards. Chromatograms of every injected sample showed 11 individual triacylglycerol peaks, and the main components are trilinolein and oleodilinolein. A small triacylglycerol composition difference was noticed among soybean cultivars.
