Standardization and coding of documentation is useful for information retrieval and analysis when caring for the single patient during the consltation, and essential for communication between health care providers and for assesment of the content or quality of care. ICPC-2 is used in different health care setting worldwide.Our aim as the WICCwas provide general advice regarding coding in order to minimize variation in the use of ICPC-2 codes. Our intention was to enable reliable calculation of incidences and prevalences of health problems from EMR, in order to compare data in networks for scientifics and clinical purposes, nationaly and internationaly
