There Will Be Neither Privacy Nor Security in the (Brave New) Cyberworld(s)

The issues of privacy and security are said to be of greatest importance for the development, deployment and future of Cyberspace. However, this is far from the truth. Cyberworlds are going to develop and grow regardless of these concerns. Although they are going to be the places with a multitude of privacy and security technologies they will also be the places in which misuse, abuse and terrorism will be the common way of behavior and no privacy will be guaranteed. This will be so not because of technical properties of cyberspace but rather due to the nature of the human community to which this technology is being applied. Thus, either the very nature of the society needs to be changed, or the members of the society need to get adjusted to “Mad Max” like world.
