Destination Marketing in Cyberspace: Content Analysis of Croatian DMO Websites
Destination marketing organization (DMO) have an important role in promotion and attracting tourists in today's tourist market. Modern technology is enabling simple and efficient spread of information on tourist destinations on the global market via Internet. Since potential visitors chose carefully their destinations by browsing trough a large number of websites, the quality of the website may play a crucial role not only in attracting visitor's attention but also in decision making. Hence, funcionality and content of DMO websites should be treated as extremly important. The purpose of this paper is to identify the information that tourists consider important when planning trips and to analyze the content of DMO websites in Croatia to see if they match demands of the modern market.
