The 8th International Congress of the Croatian Society of Nuclear Medicine : highlights from Šibenik, 9-12 May 2014.

The Eight International Congress of the Croatian Society of Nuclear Medicine was held in Šibenik, May 09-12, 2014., under the chairmanship of Professor Dražen Huić and the auspices of the Croatian Ministry of Health and the European Association of Nuclear Medicine. As in previous years, the congress was a great success, attended by over 200 participants from 14 countries, European and beyond. This review briefly summarizes major scientific contributions made in diverse areas of nuclear medicine, from oncology, cardiovascular science, neurology and thyroid, as well as physics, chemistry and imaging methodology which all show promising results and future investigations.
