Information Technology as a important Factor of the Development of Retailing in the Croatia

In this work we start from the meaning of the information system for the development of both big and retail firms. The biggest Croatian retail firms still do not have importance that they deserve in international frames. The implementation of modern information technologies is for that reason of even greater importance for them, since it is not easy to oppose internationally active retail firms on the basis of economy of volume.The management of information system is not to be defined after the determination of certain terms and tasks.The development of modern information net, provide not only the actualisation of data basis from external sources but also direct usage of all external sources. In that way it is possible for the management of information system of retail firms and their business strategy to go through their own revolution.
