Importance of Content Management System for E-Commerce

On-line selling process is carried out in three stages: 1. bringing visitors to the Web site and 2. turning them into readers who 3. become buyers and lifetime consumers. E-marketing activities will perform the first stage while the second stage has to be achieved through the quality of the content of the Web site. The third stage of the Web-selling process is performed by placing an order and fulfillment. This paper discusses how an effective Content Management System can play the role of a virtual seller, turning readers into buyers with automatized delivery of up-to-date digitalized multimedia content onto the company Web site.
