Sažetak
Introducing adaptivity into traditional wavelet transform further improves the quality of denoised signal. Common approach is to choose wavelets such as to match the properties of the analyzed signal. The lifting scheme made it possible to easily introduce such adaptations. This paper provides an overview of adaptive wavelet transforms in signal denoising. Non-wavelet domain denoising method based on the intersection of confidence intervals (ICI) rule is also briefly investigated.
