Enlargement of the EU- Impact on Croatia
The objective of the paper is to examine possible economic impact of the next EU enlargement on Croatia.Alternative options to participation in the integration process are analysed, and the main issues that emerge from enlargemend are takled. The focus in on Croatia, but some effect of the enlargment is examined through perspective from the regional and subregional associations in Europe and in the Mediterranean region, as well as from perspoective of selected countries (EU members, European "would-members", "pre-in" countries, as well as from the countreis that do not participate directly in the process of the EU enlargement - Turkey, Mediterranean countries and the West European non-EU members. After comparative analysis of possible impacts of the enlargement ondifferent groups of countries, the paper evaluates options for Croatia's participation in the integration process. Two basic options are tested -entering the EU directly and via other regional integration.
