The Application of Centrally Expanding Pattern on Sewing Automata for Decorativa Embroidery
Using sewing automata for the purpose of making decorative embroidery gains on importance in garment industry. The degree of automation increases, as well as the number of machine functions. However, basic problem is still puckering the patterns embroidered. It is a detrimental by product of high machine stitch concentration and cumulative thread tension on a relatively small pattern surface. Attempts were made to solve the problem of puckering by reducing relative stitch density, but it resulted in aesthetically unacceptable embroidery. A successful technical solution for the problem of pattern puckering is presented, such that employs the method of stitches expanding from the centre of the pattern to its borders. The method can be used with all the existing technical systems of NC decorative machine embroidery control. The only requirement is a special software module for data preparation necessary for numerical control of sewing automata used in decorative embroidery manufacture.
