Creating Database-aware Java Classes Based on Extended Data Dictionary and Abstract Classes
One of serious challenges for a team developing database applications is the proper choice of client development tools. The solution has been attempted in development of a proprietary library of abstract classes. The instantiations of objects deriving from these classes use the meta-data set from a specifically enhanced data dictionary in DBMS. The problem has been dismembered into core abstract classes bearing full functionality description, but without data structure description and into derived concrete classes bearing the structure description. Proposed model is timesaving due to shorter and less error-prone development cycle and due to additional flexibility in development.
