Solution to directivity problems in ultrasonically marked cardiac catheters
The problem of techological compromise between sensitivity and desirable broad directivity characteristic of ultrasonically marked catheter has been solved by application of divergent lenses to transmitting-receiving marker transducer. It was shown that the lenses can be designed in various ways by including asymmetric lenses that modify the elevation angle of transucer directivity.
