HIgh-tech life accompanying devices: how meaningfully are they used?
Modern technologies have become a part of everyday human living helping in performing human routine activities or health monitoring. They are a source of human habits information, useful for behavior correction or the source of interesting information for health monitoring. Measuring the people habits and possibility to detect unexpected situations have a crucial importance for assistive technologies which monitor expected routine daily activities. Hence, there are lot of products recently, known as people-meters or audience meters, which measure people attention under various circumstances such as watching different TV channels, or people engagement in performing some defined activities such as reading newspaper, gardening or sleeping. In this paper, a review of products for living with technological support will be presented with special focus on the new introduced measure which quantified the system meaningful usage.
