Fungal secretomes enhance sugar beet pulp hydrolysis
Sugar beet pulp is an abundant lignocellulosic waste og table sugar production and can be used as feedstock for second - generation bioethanol. Various secrotomes of three fungi were evaluated in respect to suuport cellulase action. An optimized secretome from the plant pathogen fungus Sclerotium rolfsii efficiently hydrolyzes hemicelluloses and pectin and decreases the required amount of supplemented cellulase for sugar beet pulp hydrolysis.
cellulases; hemicellulases; neurospora crassa; sclerotium rolfsii; trametes multicolor
