Unconventional transport facilites

The paper presents the results of studying passenger transport carried out in urban and rural regions. Low population density is characteristic for senior citizens and people who have no access to a car, due to poorer public transport service. Traffic congestion in urban areas, on the other hand, has a number of negative cosequences. Taking this into consideration, in numerous rural areas where public transport does not meet the local needs, the solution is sought in unconventional services such as postbuses that combine transport of passengers and the collection and delivery of mail. In the cities, the solution is found in car sharing services organised by computers, and in future development of telecommunications that reduce travelling by as much as 5%.
