FAHP and TOPSIS Methods for the Selection of Appropriate Multimedia Application for Learning and Teaching
Criterias for the selection of the multimedia applications for learning are based on Bloom’s digital taxonomy. Since there are more then one criteria for the selection of multimedia application for learning, multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) methods are needed to be used. In this paper FAHP and TOPSIS methods are proposed to be integrated for the selection of the best multimedia application for learning and teaching. First the FAHP method is used for determining the weights of each criteria and priority values of multimedia applications. Triangular fuzzy numbers are used in FAHP method for determining the benefits of one criteria to another. Then the TOPSIS method is used to determine the final ranking of the multimedia applications. The best multimedia application for teaching and learning would be the one that is farthest from the negative ideal solution and nearest to the positive ideal solution. The integration of FAHP and TOPSIS methods enables teacher to efficiently select a more suitable multimedia applications for learning.
