Methods of Traffic Floe Organisation Intended to Reduce the Amount of Traffic Jams in the Cities

In this paper the unnecessary conflicts between traffic flows and methods to reduce them are observed and analyzed. The unnecessary conflicts between traffic flows in cities substantially influence the capacity of intersections and the traffic safety, due to the complexity of parameters, which influence them (the directing of the street net, the driver s choice of route etc.). Applying the here analyzed methods better solutions, which lead to the optimal solution of the traffic organization in the already existing network, with the minimal financial costs, are found. Although the emphasis is given to the road transport, these methods can be applied to all types of transport. Current satellite navigation and the possibility of recording traffic flows by using GSP technology is giving us unimagined possibilities of exploring and applying the modern methods of traffic flow organization.
